Am loving tape and ribbon.

Am very pleased with my new tapes that came in the mail today and Yody is too! (yes I know what his name really is). I was prompted to look around for some washi type tape after seeing a post and subsequent idea on one of my favourite blogs inkjet designs. I chose some from Superlovely to start with. They sent me some complimentary tags too. I think they're fab.

Hexagons and WOYWW no.132

I've encountered an issue with sticking my shapes together to form a hexagon medallion. As the paper is lightly glittered, is not an easy stick especially as the shape is dimensional, pulling them apart. Have tried my usual pva glue and double sided glue but I think I need to get some silicone glue as I've seen people use it for glittery card.
Dimensional view.

Papermania stamp I want to try on the papers.

I've been faily busy each day with some tea bag folded hexagons but progress is slow as to the finished projects. I started with some scrap paper I got cheap from a craft show but it looked a bit worn so searched out my smoother papers in christmasy colours. The next step is to stamp onto the papers first before folding, and I have a stamp in mind by Papermania.

WOYWW No.131

Here is my work area for today's What's on your workdesk wednesday? See here for more information.
Well not much has happened on the craft front. I've just cut up some squares from old giftwrap for Tea Bag Folding, using a fiskars paper trimmer. It's buried at the bottom so my bubba can't try and grab it. I've photocopied some designs to see how can develop them more without having to go through the techniques used. Today want to complete my ATC circle journal pages to post. I started it 2 months ago but things get put away and forgotten about often in my place. Oh the shame....

Blog hopping and candy....

I am enjoying blog hopping after yesterday's participation in WOYWW (no.130). Thank you to anyone who has left a comment for me. I doubt will be able to get round all the blogs with a one year old vying for all my attention but will look at lots.
Jude at Crafts-International has some blog candy up for grabs (see above). Is well worth a look.

There's a blog I like called Stamping Ground and it has a feature called Whats on your wordesk wednesday? I like the idea of being able to see and share what crafter's are up to, so you can see my share for this week

What's on your workdesk Wednesday? - WOYWW.

I picked up this standing sewing box in a second hand shop several months back. Is ideal for my rubber stamps allthough wont hold them all! They spill over into other areas as will see.
This is my roller desk I got from Oxfam when we moved in. I then collared my husband's dvd/book case he was going to throw out, to put on top of it. The desk is always full of random things and I can't even sit at it really.
The book case holds my magazines, craft books and card blanks mainly. On top of it are folders of ideas and a box of giftwrap. I like collecting it.
This again my husband said I could have for craft storage. I have plastic stands for peel-offs, stickers, rub ons etc. There are containers with scizzors and ribbon in, glitter glues and more magazines. I recently plonked my slice electronic die cutting machine there too. It's a bit of a dumping ground too though. My scarves end up there most days.

I'm posting pictures of my workspaces. Most of it is used for storage unfortunately. I would so love a whole room to myself for Crafting in....but a girl can dream.

I love Prima products. I got some new flowers made from ribbon this week. They're just beautiful and now I've seen the header on their blog here I just want to get more of their things!

Garden themed card.

This is my latest card. I scanned a paper napkin using photoshop and printed it out as a background. The watering can is an old creative cut out by Carolines. The other embellishments are by papermania.

Finding something different....

Finding something different to craft with is quite tricky when you're a bit strapped for cash. I think I've come up with quite a good idea though with some toys from yesteryear. I found a 'Picture Plates' toy by Tomy in a charity shop. I had a fashion wheel as a kid and a similar plate type toy which I still have.
The little plates managed to go through my die cutting machine and so gave me an embossed design was after. Now I think I will try as many backgrounds as possible.

Mothering Sunday card.

Here is the card I made for my mum for Mothers Day this year. I used an old (but still available)creative cut-out by Carolines for the main element and 'Bloom and Grow' range die cuts by My Minds Eye. Also a few old papermania stickers.
